Dad with the Rototiller

This represents the years where Mom and Dad had that garden in the back section of the yard. It was about 1976 because I remember shooting some photos for my photo classes. I can just taste the green peppers and tomatoes. Also zucchini, zuchini, zuchini. Linda Byerly taught us how to make Zippy Zuchini in the microwave. Yum. Mom would make Gaspacho with the peppers tomatoes and fresh onions. Chilled in the refridgerator. Oh it was good. My favorite was the little yellow summer squash. The short green squash were very tasty too.

Mary Labrucherie

My grandmother Mary Labrucherie came to visit us in Duarte, California in 1980. This is in the back yard. The next time she came to see us in 1981 she said she was going to stay in Fort Scott, Kansas and people could come see her. Which she did.
