Visiting with Gloria and Sharon Erickson
We went and had dinner with Gloria and Sharon at Los Gueros Mexican resturaunt in Monrovia. Mom and I had gone to Sears Pasadena and then out to the west side Pasadena to look at the apartment on Washington and Summit where Mom, Dad and Scott lived just before I was born. She remembers Sonny and Dad had gone to get tacos and would come back to the apartment and eat chili's over the sink until their ears turned red. Scott would run around while Mom went out to hang clothes on the line between the apartments. Grandma Mary and Aunt Lottie came over and were talking about how Dad could carpool, which he did do. She remembers the place fondly. I can imagine it now. There is a photo of Mom with a maternity dress on out in front of this place. There are also pictures of Scott sitting on the front step with Dad. Fun day. Then after dinner we went back to my house and searched for Arch Grafton Brown for Gloria. That was her Dad. We found some census records and draft registration for WWI. also some of her grandfather from Arkansas. We had enchiladas, of course. Ha !! It was way too hot to cook any. Roy stayed home and Mike has a tooth ache. We saw Kimmy and Gwen and such Friday when Mom first got there.
