Christmas 1965
Dorothy and Gene Vanatter. Their kids Scott, Gina and Tracy. On vacation in Kansas over Christmas vacation 1965. This was taken in front of Grandma Onie's house in Uniontown, Kansas. She was Truman Barlow's mother. Truman married my grandmother Alberta (Knox) Vanatter Barlow in 1947? in Las Vegas, Nevada. Scott Vanatter was named after Scott Barlow. Truman or Dad said that Scott Barlow was one of the nicest men you'd ever want to meet. He had died right before Scott Vanatter was born. Imagine these little girls with stretch pants and a brown "car coat" on. Imagine if you will the one in the middle washing off the snowman we had made that week bdirty. It seemed like the thing to do at the tiecuse it was time. I had never seem snow until then.
Christmas' past
Northview Junior High School students Becky Hunter and my brother Scott Vanatter in December 1967. They got married in 1975 and have two kids Carrie and Sydney. Taken at Becky's house near Royal Oaks Park in Duarte, California. Probably taken by Becky's mom (Bull) Hunter soon to be Mrs. Rol Allen. Cute. I know it wasn't at our house because we had the sparkly silver aluminum tree with the red, yellow, green and blue lights. The bobbles were usually shiny blue. I'm pretty sure Becky's printed jeans were corduroy. I remember about the same time that Scott told me one time "You are never going to get a boyfriend if you continue to wear those stretch pants" with the stirup feet. I liked the stirup feet so my socks wouldn't show. I had cute little black boots to go with them. Ah the fashion of the 60's.
My great nephews 2008
Ryan, Kyle and Sean Motley. Carrie and Scott Motley's sons. Scott and Becky Vanatter's grandsons.
Mom and Dad in Duarte
Taken in 1981 on July 16th on my 26th birthday. It was taken with my new Hasselblad 500 C/M camera and an 80mm lens. I had bought it at Flag's Camera Shop on Lake in Pasadena. I was jazzed and had Mom and Dad pose for me. I bought it for $800.00 to $900.00 used. I love that camera. I still have it. What a differance 27 1/2 years make. I have the 150mm lens too. I figure the investment was well worth it. I made a bunch of money with it over the years. All the Digital DECService Awards portraits were taken with it except when I rented equipment at Samy's Camera. Too fun. The original is in color.
Trivial Pursuit 1986
Taken in the kithen of 97 Foxhollow in Irvine in 1986. We played alot of Trivial Pursuit in those days. This is soon after Tracy and Doug got marrried. Scott took it. We are so young !!
Christmas' Past 1958
